Recipe: Pancakes with FrenzyFruit® Apple and Cinnamon Topping

Ingrediënten:
  • 1 pouch (15 g) FrenzyFruit® freeze-dried apple
  • 250 g flour
  • 500 ml milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • Butter or oil for frying
  • 2 fresh apples, diced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
  • Cinnamon powder to taste for topping

 

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the FrenzyFruit® Apple:
         - Blend the FrenzyFruit® freeze-dried apple into a fine powder using a blender or food processor.

  2. Make the Pancake Batter: 
        - In a large bowl, mix the flour, milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, cinnamon powder, and FrenzyFruit® apple powder until smooth.

  3. Cook the Pancakes:
        - Heat a little butter or oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
        - Pour a small amount of batter into the pan and swirl to spread the batter evenly.
        - Cook the pancake until the top is dry and the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter.

  4. Prepare the Apple Topping: 
        - Mix the diced apples with lemon juice, honey or agave syrup, and a pinch of cinnamon powder. Set aside.

  5. Serve:
        - Place the pancakes on a plate and fold them into quarters.
        - Spoon the apple mixture over the pancakes.
        - Sprinkle with extra cinnamon powder to taste.

  6. Enjoy:
        - Serve immediately and enjoy these delicious and fruity pancakes.
